Afterglow

Sunset’s painting skies in pink,
Last light fading at the brink.
Fireflies in evening air,
Your hand in mine, I’m unaware.

The heat still lingers on my skin,
A whisper of where we’ve been.
We’re chasing stars instead of time,
Still high on love, still feeling fine.

We’re living in the afterglow,
Of days that moved so soft, so slow.
Still hear the music in my soul,
Summer burned us whole — and made us whole.

Lanterns swinging by the shore,
Echoes of the night before.
Sand still clings to sun-kissed feet,
Every glance still feels like heat.

The memories hum, the silence sings,
Of bonfires and wedding rings.
We’re not quite ready for the fall —
Still dancing through it all.

We’re living in the afterglow,
Of nights too golden to let go.
Wrapped in warmth the seasons show,
Still holding tight — we let it flow.

Oh-oh, don’t say goodbye too fast,
Let this lazy summer last.
We’ve bottled time inside our hearts,
No matter where the cold days start.

We’re glowing in the afterglow,
Of love that only summer knows.
No need to rush, just let it grow —
This sunshine soul is all we know.

Ooh, it’s not the end…
Just a softer bend…
In this endless summer glow.
